What Price slow and sloppy? lmao. How more innacurate can you be?
Price has one of the best technique in the league for his age.
Price his one of the fastest hybrid goaltender in the NHL for his age.
Price is one of the fastest goaltender in the NHL in lateral movements.
If anything, Price is far from being slow or sloppy, it's m ore the other way around. If you want to make an accurate analysis, Price would be a top 10 goaltender if he didn't had a concentration issue and his survival spirit isn't really strong at all, which is the only real problems he is facing right now.
If you pick a goaltender à la Hasek or Thomas, they have tremendous survival spirits which made them strive in dire situations. On the other side, Price will make the first save, however he tends to not be in the game anymore after that first save, which is a problem even if you have the best defense of the league.
If you pick, Marty Brodeur, this guy will show his A game even in games where he's barely seeing any action. On the other side, Price might lack the proper concentration even when the play is in his own zone.
You might not like Price, which is one thing, but don't go around saying false things like "he is sloppy or slow" which is far from the truth. What I like about the new goalies coach is that he's teaching Price a good work ethic which should help solve his problems and he's helping Price bettering himself as a hybrid goaltender instead of forcing him into being a butterfly goaltender, which he is not. I really didn't like Rollan Melanson for that reason, ever since Patrick Roy, he's been forcing all the goaltenders to be butterfly even if it wasn't a style that suited them.
I really like Carey Price as a goaltender, because, he is still very young and he's already showing an excellent technique, when he's reaching 25-26, which should be where he's coming in his prime. He'll definitely be a top 10 goalies in the league.
